Ambassador Recruitment Grant

Biochemical Society Ambassadors can apply for funding to help organise one Biochemical Society-sponsored seminar or member recruitment event.

Available exclusively to our Local, Student, and Industry Ambassadors, we offer funding to help organize local events such as student receptions, a presence at Freshers’ Fayres, and sponsored seminars. These events should be used as an opportunity to promote membership of the Society and strengthen relationships and collaboration between the Society and their organisation.

With this funding, the Society can provide up to £200 to support the cost of speaker travel, venue hire, and/or refreshments.

These prizes are awarded by the Society's Local Ambassadors to acknowledge an outstanding undergraduate within their institution.

Grants of £500, £750, £1000 or £1500 are available to members to assist with the costs of hosting a seminar series with guest speakers throughout the year.

Grants of up to £500 to assist with the independent organisation of scientific meetings, training events, single lectures or small events.

Student Opportunities Grants

Grants of between £50-£100 are available to assist students with extra-curricular molecular biosciences based projects that enable them to develop skills and boost their CV.

Single lectures and small events

Sponsored Event Grants provide sponsorship of up to £500 to assist with the independent organization of single lectures or small events such as postgraduate research days.
